The yarn I used was Knit Picks City Tweed DK in the color Basil. This yarn is so soft and wonderful to work with. I love the tweedy look of the yarn. It gives the finished shawl a bit of a rustic feel. I also liked the DK weight. It makes for a quick knit, but still keeps the finished project lightweight.
I really enjoyed knitting this. There aren't too many stitches to cast on, none of the rows are too long, by the time you hit the half-way point, you begin to decrease, and then only a few stitches to bind off. Plus, as long as you weigh your yarn, you never have to worry about running out! I hope you enjoy this pattern. Click on the thumbnails below to see larger photos.
