This quick to knit pattern is perfect for dressing up your jar candles! Sized to fit a standard jar candle, such as Yankee Candles, this topper would add the finishing touch to a gift, or just look cute being displayed in your home.
Traliccio is a fun and easy to knit shawlette. The garter stitch body is accented by a garter stitch based lace pattern on the border. It is knit from side to side, and is adaptable to any yarn weight or size. Just weigh your yarn, increase until about half the yarn is gone, then begin to decrease. Traliccio is perfect for the advanced beginner, but still an enjoyable knit for the more experienced knitter.

Dewdrops is a fun and easy to knit fingering weight scarf. The stockinette body is accented by beads and lace on each end and along the edges. The beads, which look like dewdrops in the sunlight, give an eye-catching sparkle, while the linen blend fingering weight yarn and lace sections keep the scarf light. The four row pattern repeat is easy to memorize, and the beads are added with a crochet hook, so no stringing of beads is required. Suitable for an advanced beginner and beyond. The pattern can be found in my Ravelry store. Just click on the store link at the top of the page.
It's been so long since I last posted, but I'm happy to say that Weebly finally improved their app, so I can post from my iPad! You should definitely see more posting in the future.
A lot has been going on. First, I just released my latest pattern, Entwined, on Ravelry. It's a side to side crescent shaped shawl, with a twisted stitch border. It can be knit to any size desired, and with any weight yarn. A link to my Ravelry store can be found at the top of the page.
I've also been doing a lot of dyeing! It's just so fun to play with color. The link to my Etsy shop can be found at the top of the page.
Last, but not least, I'm having a big Mother's Day sale right now. Check it out!
Wow, two posts in one day! I just realized I had never announce the release of my two latest patterns. Both are available on the Knit Picks website. The easiest way to find then is to click on my Ravelry store in the header; the pattern page there will have a direct link to the pattern.
My first pattern released was Knoppen Mitts. They are easy and quick to knit. They use less than 50 grams of yarn per pair, so are great for the orphan skein in your stash. Knit flat, and with no cable needle required, these mitts would be suitable for an advanced beginner and beyond, and would make great last minute gifts. Click on the photos to see the complete pictures.
The second pattern released was Trillare. It's a fun and easy crescent shaped shawlette. The garter stitch body is accented by a flowing bell ruffle border. The pattern is adjustable to any size and yarn weight desired. It's perfect for the adventurous beginner and beyond. Click on the photos to see the complete pictures.
Why DistractedKnits? Well, I wanted my name to reflect my designing philosophy. When I knit, and design, I prefer patterns that are interesting to knit, but can be easily memorized. I also need patterns that can be put down at a moment’s notice, and when picked back up, it only takes a moment to find my place.
